Terms of Service

Last updated: July 25, 2026

Draft notice: This document was written to give a real, complete starting point, not produced or reviewed by a licensed attorney. Video surveillance, biometric data, and employee-monitoring law vary significantly by state and country. Have this reviewed by a lawyer licensed in your jurisdiction before relying on it with real customers.

1. What Millennium Vision is

Millennium Vision ("we," "us," "the Service") is a software product that connects to a customer's own security cameras and NVR, and uses a combination of local, on-site video analysis and cloud-based AI processing to detect and summarize activity, at the customer's direction and configuration. We do not sell hardware or provide camera installation; the customer supplies and owns their own cameras and network.

2. Your account and responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the account and location information you provide, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for all activity under your account. You must be the owner or an authorized representative of any location (home or business) you connect to the Service.

You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable law regarding video surveillance at each location you connect -- including but not limited to: posting any legally required notice or signage that video monitoring is in use, obtaining any consent required for audio or video recording in your jurisdiction (many US states require all-party consent for audio), complying with employee-monitoring and workplace-privacy laws if used at a business, and complying with any biometric-data law if facial recognition or similar features are ever enabled. We do not verify your compliance and are not responsible for it.

3. How video and data are handled

Raw, continuous video from your cameras is processed locally, on hardware at your own location, and is not uploaded to us in full. Only short triggered clips/snapshots (generated when the system detects activity worth checking) and event metadata (timestamps, zone names, detection summaries) are sent to our cloud infrastructure and to our AI processing provider (currently Anthropic, for the specific detection and search features described in the product) for analysis. See our Privacy Policy for full detail on what is collected, why, and how long it is kept.

4. No guarantee of detection accuracy

The Service uses AI and computer-vision techniques to flag activity for your review. It is designed to be conservative (it is tuned to prefer missing a real incident over falsely accusing someone), which means it will not catch every incident, and it may occasionally flag something that turns out to be innocent. Flagged events are always presented to you for human review -- the Service never takes automatic action (no auto-blocking, no automatic reporting to third parties, no automatic accusation) based on a detection. Do not rely on the Service as your sole means of security, safety, or loss-prevention.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to monitor any location, camera, or individual without the legal right to do so, to monitor areas where individuals have a reasonable expectation of privacy (restrooms, changing areas, etc.), or in any way that violates the rights of employees, customers, family members, or other individuals.

6. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. Features, pricing, and this agreement may change over time; we will make reasonable efforts to notify account owners of material changes.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Millennium Vision is provided "as is," and we disclaim liability for losses arising from undetected incidents, false positives, service interruptions, or third-party AI provider outages or errors. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate an account at any time. Upon termination, we will stop processing new video/events for that account and will delete or anonymize stored data in line with the retention periods described in the Privacy Policy, except where we are required to retain it by law.

9. Contact

Questions about these terms can be directed to the account administrator.
